Just a quick update following our OB appointment this morning.
Letting out a sigh of relief (while still entirely overwhelmed) that we saw two perfect little babies. Strong heartbeats, and inch-long bodies jumping around with all the enthusiasm of early life.
The other day, I looked in the mirror and recoiled in horror to see how ENORMOUS my stomach is already, for being so early in the pregnancy. I shared with DH my fear that I am pregnant with a freakish Twilight vampire baby (make that two) that gestates to maturity in only three months. Unfortunately, he did nothing to calm my worries by heartily agreeing that could be a possibility, given my girth. I felt a little bit better today when the twinklets were measuring a full week ahead, making me 10 weeks along instead of 9 weeks.
Revised due date: April 16, 2010

Oh, look at the little gummy bears! I love it!
They look like tiny babies now rather than blobs!!!
Excellent! I love it!
I am so glad that everything is going well.
Awww! Yeah, with twins you'll get pretty big but twins are so adorable. I remember when I was a teenager, watching Double Trouble...with the Sagal twins. (Sisters of the actress who would become Peg Bundy.) I wanted to be a twin SO BADLY. It would just be so cool to have had someone to share all of lives major events with.
Love the baby gummy bears! And i am sure you look adorable too! :) Embrace the belly! So glad today was a good day for you!
Phew! Two gorgeious little babies.
Yay! Oh sweetie. They are beautiful and great and I'm sure that the excellent ultrasound has put your mind at ease. Sending you hugs and please let me know if you ever need a little help in the weeks to come.
Awesome! So glad all is well :)

No Twilight pregnancies! That sounds painful! They look absolutely beautiful. Congrats, hon.

I just found you through Jamie's blog. I am so happy because we are in the exact same boat. My due date is April 19, 2010. I have a 20mo little boy and am pregnant with identical twins. Congrats on the gummy bears! Isn't it just amazing how much they change in a few weeks time? No more tails and little arms and legs!
Looking forward to sharing the madness with you. Btw, I am in the PNW too, just three hours south! Sweet!
Yay! So glad to hear the good report. You'll have plenty of opportunities to see the little ones in the weeks to come-lots of ultrasounds is one of the benefits of being pregnant with twins.
Congratulations! I love the gummy bear comment. It is so true!
LOLOLOL...Your hubby was able to decide who looked like who? I bet both the babies look like their mother!
Hope you have similar u/s streaks! :-)
Oh I teared up...
They're perfect. Perfect little skeeters. So sweet.
I'm so happy things are going well thus far. I'm keeping you in my thoughts.
They are perfect! Hope you can relax a bit now!
